The food truck industry has experienced remarkable growth over the past few years, and foodies arent the only ones taking notice.
Bright Realty has incorporated food trucks in its event programming for its master-planned community Castle Hills for the past few years, said Eric Stanley, Bright Realty President and COO. Food trucks continue to be popular, so Bright Realty is analyzing future projects with the consideration of creating food truck food courts, he added. In our upcoming mixed-use project, The Realm at Castle Hills, we are currently reviewing designs for an area dubbed The Crescent that incorporates food truck parking within a park-like setting.
We believe Millennials are drivers of food trucks popularity because they are inherently social. Food trucks offer communal eating opportunities with ties to social media, as the trucks use viral marketing to communicate with followers. We have also seen that food trucks are a great addition to our family events in Castle Hills because they offer an expanded variety of both traditional and gourmet foods beyond the cuisine offered by our restaurants, added Stanley.
The Bright Realty-sponsored Fourth of July Freedom Festival in Castle Hills features some of the areas most popular food trucks including Easy Slider, Ruthies Rolling Cafe, Nammi Truck , Cousins Maine Lobster, SmokeWerks and The Butchers Son. The event takes place Monday, July 4th at 5:00 p.m. at the Castle Hills Village Shops & Plaza with fireworks after dusk. The event is free and open to the public with family-friendly activities, music and concessions available for purchase. Read more about the event here. http://castlehillsvillageshops.com/
