Bright Realty brokers met with hundreds of visitors at the November International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Texas Conference and Deal Making event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The event brought together potential retail partners from across the state, giving them the opportunity to network, gather information about potential real estate opportunities and, as the name of the event suggests, make deals. Several national retail tenants expressed interest in Bright Realtys pad sites, especially those in the busy SH 121 area, and at The Realm at Castle Hills, a 1.4 million-square-foot mixed-used project with retail, office and restaurant.
Guests at our booth know Bright Realty is a resource for information and opportunities in the popular 121 area so we had representatives from several national fast food chains, banks, gas stations, medical offices and retailers express interest in available Castle Hills locations, said Lucas Patterson, executive vice president. We met with several municipalities looking to create downtown development and mixed-use projects in their cities. Visitors to our booth also mentioned the recent media coverage on Amazons second headquarters, which included Bright Realtys Crown Centre property in the Castle Hills area.
Representatives from top brands such as Rusty Taco, Party City, Starbucks, Tropical Smoothie, Racetrac, Pie Five, Tiffs Treats, Jimmy Johns, Corner Bakery and Dickeys learned about Bright Realty properties. A national theater chain also expressed interest in a Castle Hills location.
While theres no doubt that retail is seeing a significant shift due to online consumption, brick-and-mortar is still an essential part of the economy. Many services like food, fitness, entertainment and medical cant be provided online and ICSC is the ideal location to determine how and where to support consumers needs, added Patterson.
