More than 400 real estate professionals attended the August 8th 121 Corridor Development Update: The Boom Continues, sponsored by Bisnow. Eric Stanley, Bright Realty President & COO, was a featured panelist on the topic of 121 Corridor growth, along with leaders from Gaedeke Group, Kaizen Development Partners, Altera Development and McKinney EDC.
The featured panelists at the event all have firsthand experience in the development of the area. Bright Realty had an early presence in 121 Corridor development and growth with its Bright family farm and Castle Hills master-planned community, which has approximately 4,000 single-family homes and is still growing. Stanley spoke about the entrepreneurial spirit, public/private partnerships and collaborative efforts that contributed to the areas success, as well as the live, work, play concept that is a requirement in the current office tenant and residential marketplace.
The number of people and jobs coming to this area to such a small portion of land now and over the next few years is unprecedented. We must have places for people to live, work, shop and play. They want an active environment and the marketplace requires those changes now, said Stanley. Bright Realty has adapted to this demand with The Realm, a planned mixed-use development along State Highway 121 at Castle Hills Drive. The Realm will combine the best urban lifestyle benefits of retail, entertainment, office and multi-family in one vibrant setting. Bright Realtys Crown Centre is a 150-acre corporate campus located along State Highway 121. Crown Centre will bring more than three million square feet of Class A office and retail space to the area along with tenant amenities such as outdoor seating areas and a lake, additional water features, abundant green space and a bocce ball court.
This event was a follow-up to Bisnows 121 Corridor Expansion forum in August 2016, where Stanley was also a featured speaker.
