This years ICSC RECon in Las Vegas was a deal-making success for the Bright Realty team. Changing its strategy from the traditional and static booth to a more mobile and dynamic approach, the Bright Realty team was on the move at this years event, covering ground at both the convention center and in the team suite at Bellagio.
With more than 36,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors, we chose a strategy that would give us the most impact, said Executive Vice President Lucas Patterson. We covered the halls of the convention center introducing Bright Realtys Castle Hills master-planned community to retailers, restaurants and vendors, focusing on the tremendous opportunities in the surrounding area with growth driven by corporate relocations such as Toyota, Chase and Liberty Mutual.
Bright Realty has several new development sites in Castle Hills along State Hwy 121 and Windhaven surrounding Discovery at The Realm, a Bright Realty-developed luxury multi-family project; Castle Hills Marketplace, anchored by Kroger; and Lewisville Towne Crossing, anchored by SuperTarget. We are playing a substantial role in North Texas retail and office expansions, said Senior Vice President Britton Lankford.
The Bright Realty team conducted several meetings over the three-day convention and hosted a dinner for brokers, retailers and vendors. As a result, the team was successful in finalizing negotiations with an anchor for Bright Realtys mixed use development, The Realm at Castle Hills, as well as with its third party portfolio and in making headway with municipalities in creating new commercial development opportunities.
Our team is seeing the most activity in all of North Texas in the Lewisville/Nebraska Furniture Mart area, added Patterson, specifically on State Hwy 121 near The Realm at Castle Hills. Everyone wants to be a part of this activity, and we are front and center, added Patterson.
