Bright Realty is bringing a new concert series to its Castle Hills Village Shops. The outdoor plaza will host two stand-out music acts: The Quebe Sisters on Saturday, May 2, and Johnny Lee & The Urban Cowboy Band on Saturday, June 6. Bright Realty is the developer of Castle Hills, a DFW mega-development and the fourth largest master-planned community in Dallas-Fort Worth. In addition to the Castle Hills Village Shops, Bright Realty is developing a corporate campus and a multi-family project in Castle Hills.
Since welcoming its first residents in 1998, Castle Hills has continued to evolve as a community for people to live, work and play, said Bright Realty CEO, Chris Bright. Bright Realtys vision for the community includes the philosophy that the human spirit needs engaging experiences to thrive. In addition to the communitys long list of amenities, these developer-sponsored events bring neighbors together within the community as well as draw potential new residents and commercial tenants.
Sponsored by Baylor Carrollton, The Quebe Sisters bring their unique blend of swing, vintage country, bluegrass, jazz standards and Texas-style fiddling to the Village Shops on May 2. The group, described as "singin', swingin', triple-fiddle-playin' songbirds," blows audiences away with their style. The Washington Post called them mesmerizing and their fans include Jimmy Buffet, who said they simply stopped me in my tracks when I heard them the first time.
Then on Saturday, June 6 from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Kroger Marketplace sponsors Johnny Lee & The Urban Cowboy Band. They'll take the stage in Castle Hills with the hit song "Looking for Love," the musical centerpiece of the '80s classic movie "Urban Cowboy," and one of the Top 100 country songs of all time.
Activities for the whole family are being sponsored by Grande Communications. PI.E 3.14 Everyday Eatery will have a beer garden near the stage, and food trucks with concessions will be available for purchase. Activities are 5 -8 p.m. The bands perform from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
There will also be collection bins near the stage for a food drive for CCA's Food Pantry. In addition to a canned food item, make sure to bring a blanket, chairs and the whole family. The concert, activities and face painting are free, and everyone is welcome to attend!
The Village Shops location is ideal for community events. Its one-acre-plus site features tree-shaded walkways, gardens, and numerous water features, including the very popular interactive water fountain, a permanent stage and shaded outdoor seating. The plaza is located at 2540 King Arthur Blvd. at Lady of the Lake in the Castle Hills neighborhood.
